Episode 29: Mark Beeson – The Police/Outlandos d’Amour

Episode 29 is now up on πŸ, Google Play, Stitcher and TuneIn!
Our guest today is Mark Beeson. Mark owns a recording studio Fred & Elvis’ Guitar Lounge, is the bassist for The Jack Pine and can be seen holding down the bottom end, stage left for country/rock outfit Scott Kurt music.
Mark recounts that pivotal moment in his formative years when he discovered The Police and their 1978 debut record Outlandos d’Amour via his older brother’s record collection, and recently performed these complex musical arrangements live for a covers project orchestrated by Washington, DC-based drummer Ben Tufts. Enjoy this look back at an important record!
