Here’s one that I’ve been taking on my travels of late. Jay Byrd‘s 2022 solo album At Home Again.

Jay is one of my all-time favorite songwriters, and a lyric of his on the title track speaks to me loud and clear, now and always “…spilled my heart into a rainbow, when we had darkness all around…”

It’s 2024. However, if you take solace in sounds recalling albums such as Van Morrison’s Moondance, Bob Dylan’s New Morning, and perhaps Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young’s overlooked masterpiece, 1999’s Looking Forward, you too will feel at home again.
